Juneau’s Golden North Salmon Derby is held annually in August. This is one of Alaska’s largest king salmon fishing events.
This family friendly fishing is derby has been taking place since 1947 and attracts all walks of life from the Juneau area who love to fish.
Prizes are donated by local businesses and Juneau residents. The Territorial Sportsman Scholarship Foundation also awards scholarships for graduating High School students.
